A new milesone for the Cyber Peace Initiative was achieved with the six day induction and formation program conducted from the 12th – 17th February 2010 by the Initiative in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, for the Educators Internet Safety Focus Group (under construction). Thirty two educators from 12 governorates attended the training.

During the course, the trainees learned about the Cyber Peace Initiative (CPI) and the Suzanne Mubarak Women’s International Peace Movement. They were then introduced to the dangers and risks of the internet in addition to internet safety concept and ethics. 

This was complemented with an intensive training on the Web 2.0 technology and some applications and tools for internet safety.  To conclude the training, roles and responsibilities of the trainees as the Educators Internet Safety Founders Group, were defined, in preparation for the official launching of the group.
