Net-Aman TOT Advanced Phase for Core Teams from Five Governorates
The Net-Aman team of the Cyber Peace Initiative (CPI) is organizing a TOT advanced stage following the TOT of youth from five governorates that took place on 30 July 2009.
The main aim of this training is to train the new Net-Aman members on the safe use of the internet as well as preparing them to hold training sessions for an advanced age group of university students and fresh graduates on the safe use of the internet.
On the first day the trainees were given a session on technical issues on computer hardware, internet security, and what is internet and networking.
On the second day the teams were given a chance to present their work during the on-the-job training they had taken earlier. This training comprised mainly of internet safety awareness sessions and the recruitment of focus NGOs.
On the third day the trainees were given a presentation about the international efforts on internet safety and online child protection with reference to other regional and international organizations working in the same field. At the end of the day there was a session on legislations in the Egyptian law that tackles the issue of online child protection.
On the fourth day the Net-Aman Co-founders gave the trainees a session on how to give presentations on internet safety to a more senior age bracket (18-25).
On the last two days the trainees were given an intensive soft skills training. During these sessions, the participants were trained on improving their presentation skills and enhancing their relations as team players.
The training program took place on 4 – 8 December 2009 in Mena House Oberoi in Giza.
