Net-Aman TOT Advanced Program for Youth from Five Governorates

Following the TOT of youth from five governorates that took place on 30 July 2009, the Net-Aman team is organizing a TOT advanced stage program on 4 – 8 December 2009. The training is taking place at Mena House Oberoi.

The Net-Aman Focus group, members of the Cyber Peace Initiative (CPI) in addition to some experts working in the field of personal and interpersonal skills training will be training the new Net-Aman members.

The training aims at training the new members on the safe use of the internet. The trainees are being trained on holding training sessions for an advanced age group of university students and fresh graduates on the safe use of the internet.

The plan is to prepare the new members to represent the Cyber Peace Initiative (CPI) in conferences and activities related to the safe internet usage and protecting children online. This is to be through educating the trainees with best practices and international experiences in the area of internet safety as well as international and domestic legislation for the protection of children online and safe internet usage.

The training also includes an advanced stage of personal and interpersonal skills training as well as an assessment of the trainees’ performance during the period of on-the-job-training they had.
